FORMIGAL – COLLADO FORATATA

The excursion starts in the upper part of Formigal, in the area around the refuge-chalet. The path, which is very grassy, ascends between pastures and meadows until it reaches a stone wall, where the path becomes a path that runs alongside this wall.

Cross a stream and follow a steep path that quickly climbs up to a small hill. The path now continues more gently through alpine meadows in the direction of a chaos of granite blocks, which we will later cross. At the end of the field of boulders the pass is clearly visible and its summit is near.
