With the arrival of autumn, the forests and fields of the Tena Valley are full of delicious products such as blackberries, boletus and wild mushrooms.
If you are thinking of visiting us for a mushroom hunting trip, remember to bring them in a wicker basket:
Transport them in a wicker basket with the cap upwards, as they are found in nature, to facilitate their reproduction. Never carry them in plastic bags, as this will accelerate their decomposition.
The collection of mushrooms and fungi usually involves obtaining authorisation and paying a fee. In the case of Sallent, you can apply at the Town Hall offices (Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 3.00 pm) and the prices are as follows:
Non residents: Day pass: 15€ / Annual: 120€.
Property owners and non-residents: Day pass: 6€ / Annual: 60€.
Registered residents, residents and children under 12 years: Free of charge
Do not collect or accept mushrooms if you are not sure that they are edible, such as the famous Amanita muscaria in the photo.
